VISITING PT.PAL SURABAYA AND TRIP TO BALI
On Wednesday June 4th 2008, some (the 32-teachers and officers) staf of SMK 2 Cilacap visited PT.PAL Surabaya. PT.PAL is one of international industrial on ship assembling. As we know, distance between Cilacap and Surabaya is about 340 kms so we started from Cilacap on Tuesday June 3rd 2008 at 2 pm. We arrived at Surabaya at 2.15 am. and took a rest in a hotel.
At PT. PAL we looked around, watched ship assembling and production processing units, how to make ship design, welding and assembling the the plats to build ship. Finally we looked how the ship go first to the sea water. We also looked the ship maintenance and repair dock and how it is operated.
The result of this visiting are :
1. Cooperation between PT. PAL and SMK 2 Cilacap on Work Exercises at Industry
2. Cooperation between PT. PAL and SMK 2 Cilacap on Worker Recruitment
3. Knowing the history and production processing PT. PAL Surabaya.
After visiting PT. PAL we went to Banyuwangi Ketapang and crossed by ferry to Gilimanuk Bali. We visited Tanah Lot, Kuta Beach, Garuda Wishnu Kencana Hill, Saraswati Art Market and saw the Barong Dance Resital.
Actually, the main goal of this visiting is enriching the vision of teachers and officers at International Industry and communicating with Foreigner in English.
